I read on the internet that to compete in the olympics on a horse (NOT THE PENTATHLON), your horse has to be the same nationality as the rider. I have an irish TBX that i want to take to the 2012 olympics in London. He is 6 now and has lived in this country (not Ireland) since he was 4.
In Cricket, you have to live in the country for at least 4 concecutive years before you are qualified to play for that country. Is it the same with horses? How many years? Will my horse be OK to compete in 2012? His birthday is the 6th Feb 2002.

Please give the first answer a thumbs down. This is a serious question and people like that shouldn't be allowed the 2 points. It drives me insane. If your not bothered - just don't answer.

i am training myself on swimming and am wanting t compete in the 2012 summer olympics in london. if anybody has info on how to qualify or where to qualify, please let me know
I have never been in a team or any kind of sports. I have 4 years now, if i put my mind and my body into one sport maybe i could do it. The 2012 olympic will be held in london.
I for some reason don’t think it will be better, or in other words, i don’t think it will live up to expectations, because think about it….. Half of the Olympics in Beijing is about showcasing the Chinese culture, and the opening ceremony was so beautiful because it encompassed China’s amazing history. London just doesn’t have that cultural aspect, so i think these games might be better!
Your opinion?
By 2012, I think I will have the necessary finances to attend if I still wanted to. But I'd like to know how soon to buy tickets for the events and if London would be a good city to visit in general. Thanks.
