2012 London Olympics?

Published by under General

How much does it cost overall to go to the olympics and have food, hotel, plane, and everything else paid for? How much do the events cost and is there some sort of pass that gets you in all events?

I am looking forward to going to the 2012 summer olympics in London and was just wondering when I needed to start making plans and getting a hold of travel agencies?
Well moneys not an issue hopefully I have 5000 dollars saved up so far and I still have 4 years so… but is there some sort of all-in-one package for the events? How much do they cost? Going off of the 2008 olympics how much did those tickets cost?

Should the 2012 London Olympics be boycotted if Iraq were still under US occupation ?

Published by under General

The logic behind this question is Britain should be punished if it does not use her special relationship with the US to influence the US to stop the Iraq occupation.
NOW , apply this logic into China 2008 Olympics , western politicans have been advocating the boycott of Beijing 2008 Olympics if China failed to stop the Darfur killings and recently , the troubles in Burma . Can you detect some kinds of double standards / talks in this logic / argument ?
To Thorgirl , have you not heard of Bloody Sunday Massacre before ?
I think a lot of you have missed the point of the question …… should a country be punished if it does not exercise its influence over another sovereign nation ??? Should Britain and China be punished if they do not exercise their influences over another sovereign nation ???

Should the world boycott the London 2012 Olympics?

Published by under General

This question is for the London protesters who called for the boycott of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and harassed the torch bearers:

Should the world boycott the London 2012 Olympics because of the killings of innocent Iraqis it's guilty of?

What if the Olympics were in the US; should we boycott them, hold protests and harass the Olympic Torch bearers, because we oppose the US' actions in the middle east?

Or should the Olympics be used as a tool to put differences aside and promote constructive dialog?
