How much does it cost overall to go to the olympics and have food, hotel, plane, and everything else paid for? How much do the events cost and is there some sort of pass that gets you in all events?

I am looking forward to going to the 2012 summer olympics in London and was just wondering when I needed to start making plans and getting a hold of travel agencies?
Well moneys not an issue hopefully I have 5000 dollars saved up so far and I still have 4 years so… but is there some sort of all-in-one package for the events? How much do they cost? Going off of the 2008 olympics how much did those tickets cost?

New York City was one of the candidates list for the 2012 Olympics along with Madrid, Moscow and Paris. Too bad London won the title.
I wish that New York would host the 2012 Olympics, not London. New York is the world’s greatest city.

i no its a great city and there would be lots to do, but knowing english weather as i do it will probably rain throgh the majority of events - in the past the host cities have been warm places so this hasnt been an issue - should londom really have been chosen?
